Dedication to my friends and supporters who made my artwork and career possible

Charles Vacanti, Harvard

In honor of my dearest and best friend, unconditional supporter, inspiring mentor and extremely generous sponsor Charles A. Vacanti, a visionary scientist, who in his own career tragically struggled through extreme professional and private challenges and pressures, that brought him to fall. Regardless he has been driven by extraordinary creative thinking in both art and science.

I am erecting this ultralight monument in dedication to Alfred. “Alfred! Resurrected at last! Sorry, it wasn’t God, who made this happen but just this mundane dedication. I will carry our mission further and will make all your wishes come true.

Dear Charles, make magic and backflip! Never rest!”

Robert Langer, MIT

Robert has been from the start of my American Life in 2010 a relentless supporter and fantastic collaborator for my art projects. Countless meetings followed the first one, leading to a friendship which I hold in the highest regards. He and his students made the most significant contributions for Sugababe over the entire span of the project and handled the genetic and mRNA parts. Next to Charles Vacanti, Robert has been my key collaborator over the past 15 years. He also contributed essential support for The Redemption of Vanity with regards to the administrative and collaborative setup, which made the project possible in the very first place and to begin with. He arranged for the extremely successful show at The New York Stock Exchange of the 2 Million Dollar diamond disappearing under the blackest black on earth, developed at MIT.

Thank you dear Robert!

Noam Chomsky, MIT

Noam Chomsky along with his assistant Bev gave me extraordinary opportunities to discuss art, science and philosophy in new ways. Their great and never-ending support has been very encouraging. Noam traveled to my first major show for the presentation of Sugababe from the US to Germany for the opening at ZKM to be the first person talking to Van Gogh’s new bio-engineerd ear. Noam reviewed almost all my projects, really loved them, and found them to be “truly imaginative”, adding “that he is not an art critic!” Right before his stroke he wrote to me with another refreshing review of my art.

Paola Pardini Marcucci

Paola has supported my artwork when I started my explorations into art science back in Italy around 2006. She is a dear and very special friend who made many of my works possible through her generous financial support.

John Mather

With John I had the most interesting and challenging discussions.

We collaborated on two projects, the Litmus and an ongoing project. His mind-blowing ideas about the universe and the human mind have inspired me throughout my entire career.

Paolo Andriolo

Paolo sponsored and supported along with Alessandro Berlato and Roberto Capanna my entire Web-Presentation since 2019
