Bogart is an artificial smoker, an outlandish machine made of motors, a glass lung, various tubing, a repurposed e-cigarette and a rudimentary silicone mouth mask etc. to create smoke rings.
Not so long ago smoking was a widely common habit of vast majorities in most societies. It even appealed to be a premise of “cool” in the public appreciation. Within a short period, all this completely turned into the entirely stigmatized activity of social outcasts, the pitied mannerism of the lower class.
Bogart in this concern is the remembrance of the simple but striking fact, that it is narratives over facts that shape the social and physical world in essential ways.
With ease it seems that the same action of any type can be labeled in one and its opposite, conflicting fashion over time or even at the same time.
Moreover, the machine may be seen as the resurrection of smoke’s beauty, the ephemeral elegance of mouth -made vortices as perfect smoke rings as well as generating the vast spectrum of random smoke patterns.

A cigarette is the perfect type of a perfect pleasure. It is exquisite, and it leaves one unsatisfied. What more can one want?
